SAVANNAH, Ga. – A brisk start greets us this morning as a recent cold front quietly swept through, leaving us with below-average temperatures. The mercury will only climb to the low 50s today, though the day promises plenty of sunshine. As evening approaches, brace for another chilly night, particularly if you’re heading out for Super Bowl festivities. Temperatures will hover in the 40s, with overnight lows dipping back to around freezing.

On the bright side, a warming trend is on the horizon starting tomorrow. Expect a blend of sunshine and clouds with temperatures rising to the low to mid-60s. The upward trajectory continues, ushering in low 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. However, by midweek, keep an eye on the next weather system.

This system, characterized by a low-pressure area to our west, drags a stationary front over the region from Wednesday onwards. Anticipate occasional rainfall from Wednesday through Friday, while temperatures slightly recede to the mid-60s by Thursday and Friday. As the low-pressure system advances by Saturday, expect scattered showers on Valentine’s Day, resulting in highs around 60. Despite this cooldown, forecasts from the Climate Prediction Center suggest we’ll remain above average in temperatures for the next couple of weeks!
