Storm Team 3: Storms return today with a cooler work week ahead

SAVANNAH, Ga. () – We’re tracking our next cold front moving through the area today, bringing in extra moisture across the region. Ahead of the front, expect hot and humid conditions, with afternoon and evening storms likely. Highs will climb into the low to mid 90s, and heat indices could approach the triple digits. Fortunately, the cold front will bring some relief, setting us up for a cooler start to the work week.

After pushing through today, the front will stall just to our south through midweek. This will keep moisture and cloud cover around, along with scattered showers and storms from Monday through Wednesday. Highs will be noticeably cooler, staying below average in the lower 80s.

As conditions begin to dry out late in the week, temperatures will gradually climb back into the mid 80s. Still, the 80s will feel like a welcome break from the recent heat and a refreshing taste of fall.
