SAVANNAH, Ga. — As the new week unfolds, residents can finally look forward to drier conditions, although they should prepare for a drop in temperatures.
Recently, the area has experienced another spell of light to steady rainfall, particularly concentrated along and south of I-16. However, this rain is expected to diminish by late Sunday night, ushering in a period of much-needed dry weather.
The start of the week will see one last bout of rain as a cold front sweeps through on Monday morning. This will bring some light rain showers, but they won’t match the persistence of the recent downpours. By afternoon, the skies are predicted to clear up, allowing for some sunshine.

The focus then shifts to the impending cold, with freezing temperatures anticipated both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Tuesday will remain chilly throughout the day, with highs struggling to reach the 50s.
Midweek promises a warm-up, with temperatures climbing into the 60s and abundant sunshine. However, another cold front is expected to pass through by Friday. This will bring a slight 20% chance of rain, but more significantly, it will herald another substantial cooldown as we move into the following week.
