SAVANNAH, Ga. () – As the high-pressure system gradually moves offshore today, expect a blend of sunshine and clouds to dominate the skies across the area. Despite the increasing cloud cover, temperatures are set to soar into the upper 80s and low 90s this afternoon. When you factor in the rising humidity, it will feel like the mid-90s in numerous places.
This warm and muggy weather pattern will persist into Monday, with temperatures once again peaking in the low 90s. There’s a slight possibility of encountering an isolated thunderstorm later in the afternoon or evening. This chance of sporadic storms will linger into Tuesday and Wednesday as the steamy conditions continue.
Toward the week’s end, we’ll see a bump in moisture levels, which will elevate the opportunity for scattered showers and thunderstorms from Thursday through Saturday. Despite the increased likelihood of rain, temperatures will remain above the seasonal norm, consistently reaching the low 90s.
