In Savannah, Georgia, we’re set to experience a warming trend starting today as cloud cover gradually increases. Expect afternoon temperatures to rise above the norm, reaching the mid to upper 60s. As the day progresses, the skies will become predominantly cloudy, setting the stage for our next weather system, which is anticipated to bring a few isolated showers later tonight and into the early morning hours.

Tomorrow is predicted to be the wettest day of the week, characterized by a mostly cloudy sky and sporadic rainfall throughout the day. The potential for a few thunderstorms exists, particularly in the afternoon and evening. With temperatures remaining above average—peaking near 70—there’s a slight risk that some storms could intensify, bringing gusty winds. There’s also a minor chance of hail and even a brief, localized tornado.

As the cold front sweeps through, it will usher in cooler air as we move into the weekend. While a few lingering showers may persist into Sunday morning, the clouds are expected to gradually clear, allowing for sunshine later in the day. Temperatures will dip closer to the average, with highs in the low 60s, accompanied by breezy conditions in the wake of the front.

Looking forward to the first full week of the new year, the weather should stabilize, with temperatures on an upward trend again. Monday promises sunny skies with highs in the mid-60s, and by midweek, temperatures are predicted to rise into the lower 70s.
