SAVANNAH, Ga. () – We’re in for another hot day, similar to yesterday but with slightly lower rain chances. That means temperatures will climb even higher, with highs reaching the upper 90s and heat indices between 105 and 110 degrees. Due to this dangerous heat, a heat advisory is in effect for Montgomery and Toombs counties from 11 AM to 8 PM today.
An upper-level low to our north, combined with high pressure over the Gulf, is keeping extra moisture in place. This pattern will continue into the work week, bringing scattered afternoon storms each day. Temperatures will remain in the 90s, but today is expected to be the hottest day of the week.
Looking ahead to mid-to-late week, we’re monitoring a possible tropical disturbance that could bring additional moisture. It’s too early to say for sure if it will develop, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
