Let’s have a fabulous Monday! I wish we could bottle up the splendid weather we had over the weekend and keep it around for the rest of the year. It was so gorgeous! However, we do have the next best thing this week: leftover weekend sunshine continues today with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.

Overall it will be a mostly sunny day, but it will be hazy at times. High pressure across the northeast will drive in Canadian wildfire smoke to the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry once again. Air quality should be around moderate. If you are sensitive to smoke, take the proper precautions.
A stronger easterly wind that develops Tuesday will help alleviate some of the smoke. Expect wind gusts to be up to 20-25 mph. High pressure shifts off the east coast tomorrow and brings back a few more clouds in the sky.
Our sunny weather comes to an end on Wednesday as moisture moves up the coast thanks to a weak area of low pressure / trough. Rain showers and occasional storms will be likely into Thursday, possibly lingering around into Friday. Heaviest rainfall looks to be from Wednesday afternoon / evening through most of the day on Thursday.

Rainfall totals will be around 2″ – but it depends on the exact track and how close to the coastline it tracks / how slow it will be moving. It will be breezy with showers keeping temperatures in the mid-80s.
Non-stop rain comes to an end by Friday and into the weekend.
