SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Yesterday graced us with splendid weather, matching the record high of 80° last seen in 2015. Today promises warmth, albeit slightly tempered by increasing cloudiness. A foggy morning will give way to partly to mostly cloudy skies, moderating temperatures a bit. Expect highs in the mid-70s, still about 15 degrees above the norm. Tonight’s cloud cover will keep the chill at bay, with temperatures only dipping into the upper 50s.

Tomorrow marks our last notably warm day, with highs peaking in the low 70s, roughly 10 degrees above average. However, it will remain mostly cloudy as a robust cold front sweeps through, bringing a few showers and breezy conditions. The morning will see winds from the southwest, shifting to the northwest as the front passes.

Once the front moves on, a significant drop in temperature follows. Expect temperatures to plummet to near freezing Monday night into Tuesday morning, with afternoon highs struggling to reach the upper 40s to lower 50s. Another cold night is on the horizon from Tuesday into Wednesday, with lows sinking into the upper 20s. On New Year’s Eve, the mercury will barely climb into the upper 40s to low 50s.

If you’re planning to venture out on New Year’s Eve, be sure to layer up, as temperatures will hover near freezing overnight into New Year’s Day. However, conditions are set to improve on New Year’s Day, with highs climbing into the upper 50s to lower 60s. This milder pattern is expected to persist through the week as we step into early 2026.
