Hi there – StormTeam 3 Meteorologist Alysa Carsley here – let’s have a fabulous Monday!
After a soggy weekend, we start this new work week drier, but hotter. A weak cold front arrives this afternoon. While we could see a rain shower here and there along it, most of us will just see a few extra clouds in the sky. High temperatures are back in the lower 90s today. This cold front will give us our first true taste of fall as we are now less than 1 month away from the official start of the fall season.
While the front will be to our south on Tuesday, we won’t see those cooler afternoon temperatures until midweek. Tomorrow will give us another afternoon with seasonable temperatures in the lower 90s. Though tomorrow morning will be slightly cooler with morning lows in the upper 60s.
Cool, dry air moves down into our area by Wednesday. Expect a partly cloudy sky each day through this weekend with highs in the mid 80s. Lows will start each day in the mid 60s.
While the cold front will be well to our south, a stray shower can’t be ruled out each day.
ICYMI: Tropical Storm Fernand formed east of Bermuda over the weekend. It is expected to remain a fish tropical storm and will have no impact to the United States.
