SAVANNAH, Ga () – Good morning – StormTeam 3 Meteorologist Alysa Carsley here! Let’s have a fabulous Friday!
We will have a mix of sun and clouds throughout our Friday with a stray rain shower possible. Highs remain comfortable in the upper 70s to lower 80s. A breezy northeast wind will pick up and we could see wind gusts up to 25 mph.

We will have a somewhat wet weekend. Isolated showers will be off and on for our Saturday tomorrow. Tomorrow will be our drier weekend day. Scattered rain will be likely Sunday. Neither day is a weekend washout, but rain will be around. Rain totals could be as high as 2-3″ through early next week, mainly along the coast.

We do need the rain. We currently have dry ground conditions stretching along I-95 into South Carolina with a moderate / severe drought occurring inland.
A northeast to east wind will persist through the weekend. This will allow for water levels to remain elevated during each high tide. Water levels are expected to remain around minor flood stage. Low-lying areas could see water creep up onto the road.

Rain chances continue through early next week with highs in the low to mid 80s. Rain chances begin to drop off by Thursday.
