SAVANNAH, Ga. – After enduring three consecutive weekends of winter weather, including last weekend’s snow, the forecast finally brings a welcome change. This weekend promises abundant sunshine, with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 50s and potentially touching the low 60s in some inland areas. Although a dry cold front passed through yesterday and last night, causing a slight breeze, the cooler temperatures will persist into tonight and tomorrow. Expect overnight lows to dip around or below freezing, heralding a chilly start to Sunday. Afternoon highs are anticipated to retreat to the lower to middle 50s.

Fortunately, this cooldown is short-lived. By Monday, temperatures will climb back to the low 60s, and throughout the week, highs are projected to settle in the lower to middle 70s, bringing a taste of spring to the workweek. The weather will remain predominantly dry, offering ample opportunities for outdoor activities. However, there is a slight chance of a few isolated showers on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The Climate Prediction Center indicates that the region should expect above-average temperatures over the next 8 to 14 days, suggesting that the pleasant 60s and 70s are here to stay for a while.
