TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Verizon Wireless brought Superbowl LIX to Sparkman Wharf and what a game it is has been. many fans’ predictions were way off, hoping for the Kansas City Chiefs to make history.

Unfortunately, they fell short with the Philadelphia Eagles looking for the payback after Superbowl LVII.

The atmosphere at Verizon wireless fan fest was electric, hosted by former Bucs player and hall of famer Derrick Brooks.

“They’re getting the same opportunity to interact with us Pro Footballers, Hall of Famers, The NFL Legends.  This gives us, really, a chance to be a part of this experience,” Brooks said.

“Obviously, all of us wish our whole team was playing in it.  The way that Philadelphia is playing reminds me of how we played at the Bucs. “

Fans of both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles came out to Sparkman Wharf in Tampa for Superbowl LIX with some friendly trash talking before the game was over.

“I wouldn’t bet against Mahomes, I can’t deny greatness, it is probably going to be Mahomes.” one fan said.

“Jalen hurts, he’s going to score a touchdown. How many?  I give him one. We got to get our revenge back.”

And that the Eagles did.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers players also stop by to meet and greet fans and share their predictions.

“I am going with the hometown team because I’m from Kansas City, Missouri. So I’ll go with the Chiefs,” Rachaad White said.

“The Chiefs are going to win and I’m going 35 to 34,” CJ Brewer said.
But no matter who they’re cheering for, everyone agreed the energy was unmatched.

“So, one giant nationwide watch party for our customers and really, you know, bringing the game to them because a lot of people don’t get to go to the Super Bowl. So I thought we take this moment to bring it to them in their cities,” Steven Bishop Verizon Wireless representative said.
