Susan Rhodes arrested, charged with hit-and-run

AIKEN, S.C. () – Susan Rhodes, who was located last week after she went missing following a vehicle crash in North Augusta back in June, has been arrested on hit-and-run charges.

According to information from the Edgefield County Judicial Circuit, Rhodes was arrested on Monday, Aug. 11 for Hit and Run Attended Vehicle, Reckless Driving and Open Container charges. She was transported to the Edgefield County Jail.

Rhodes was declared missing after a vehicle crash on June 11, which led to a widespread search effort for day. Weeks later on Aug. 5, she was located at her residence and she taken to the hospital for reported medical reasons. North Augusta Public Safety released more details soon after, and said Rhodes told authorities her account of the events regarding the situation.

Warrants were later issued for Rhodes.

Rhodes has a $5,000 bond.
