
SAVANNAH, Ga. () — A significant breakthrough has been made by the Savannah Police Department (SPD) in the investigation of a fatal shooting that occurred on May 14 in the 1000 block of E. 38th St., resulting in the tragic death of one individual.
Authorities have apprehended Gregory Green, 55, who has been implicated as the suspect. His arrest took place on May 16 through the collaborative efforts of SPD’s Homicide and SWAT teams. Green faces charges of murder and aggravated assault linked to the events on May 14, when officers responded to an alert from the ShotSpotter system.
Upon arriving at the location, officers found a person critically injured on the street. Despite the emergency response team’s attempts to administer life-saving aid, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
