Suspect at large after shooting near Fishbowl Lounge

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. () – A shooting near a local business is now under investigation.

Just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident near the Fishbowl Lounge on Lumpkin Road in Augusta.

Roads were closed in all directions while multiple units were on scene for a report of a black male dressed in all black pacing with a gun in front of the business who opened fire in the direction of the establishment.

Drones were used to search the woods where the subject was last seen as Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were arriving on the scene.

Roads were reopened around 3:31 a.m. Sunday morning after the suspect was unable to be located via K-9 or drone. The area was deemed all-clear.

There were only minor injuries as a result of the shooting; one male subject was treated on-site by EMS for injuries due to broken glass.
