In Buchanan County, Virginia, authorities have made an arrest following the tragic death of a juvenile, which occurred in early July. The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) revealed on Wednesday that they have charged Logan Keith Boyd with felony murder as well as felony child abuse and neglect.
The arrest comes after the BCSO launched an investigation into the incident that took place on July 2, 2025, in the Vansant area. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the juvenile’s death.
Currently, Boyd is being detained without the possibility of bond, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, the BCSO stated that further details would not be disclosed immediately. However, they assured the public that additional information would be provided when deemed appropriate.
