The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that 18-year-old Elijah Campbell is now in their custody, having been officially booked into the Sullivan County Jail on Wednesday afternoon.

Campbell’s transfer comes after he had been detained in Virginia, following his decision to surrender to the Bristol Virginia Police Department last November. This move was in connection with the alleged double homicide that took place in Bristol, Tennessee.

According to court documents, the incident unfolded during the early hours of November 23 when law enforcement responded to a shooting on the 100 block of Lilly Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, two of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. Campbell turned himself in to authorities later on that same day.
