Suspicious Kentuckian Arrested on 6th Street

Just after midnight, a caller reported a suspicious person on a bicycle in the 2000 block of 6th Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they detained the suspect and discovered they had open probation and parole warrants from Kentucky.

Officers also learned the person had an open warrant with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. Police took the suspect into custody.

Just after 1:35, police responded to another report of a suspicious bicyclist, this time on 8th Street. The man gave police permission to search him, and they sent him away with a warning for not having a light on the bike.

Just after 2 am, police stopped yet another suspicious bicyclist in the 800 block of Offnere. Officers issued a warning for riding at night without a light.

Half an hour later, officers stopped another night rider at Gallia and Waller. He said he was on his way home. Police issued a warning for riding without a light.

At 2:44 am, police spotted another suspicious bicyclist in the 1600 block of 11th Street. The woman initially refused to give police her name, but police finally figured out she was a woman with an open warrant through the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

Police seized what they believed to be a “shake and bake” meth lab, took the woman into custody, and impounded her bicycle.
