AUGUSTA, Ga. ()- The Class of 1994 from T.W. Josey High School is gearing up for its 16th annual Thanksgiving gathering, aimed at bringing the community together.

Leading the charge, event coordinator Shonta Bradley and her team dedicated their Sunday and Monday to ensuring everything is ready for today’s celebration.

In the previous year, they managed to serve approximately 4,000 individuals.

Despite the restoration of SNAP benefits, the organizers anticipate an even larger turnout this year, driven by soaring grocery prices.

The team is committed to making a meaningful impact on the community once again.

“This year feels a lot different. Last year we had just overcome two hurricanes, so it felt different. But just, you know, I think everybody is affected in some form. And so we want to just continue to be the hands and feet of God to show people like there is still love, there is still good people, and we are still a part of this community that we want to get better of our community,” said Bradley.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Josey cafeteria.

It’s free to the public to attend.
