TBI Launches Investigation into Sullivan County Political Mailer Origins

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has launched an inquiry into the source of a series of political mailers and text messages circulating in Sullivan County. These communications have sparked concern due to their controversial content.

Barry Staubus, the District Attorney General for Tennessee’s Second Judicial District, has called upon the TBI to look into the matter, seeking clarity on who is behind these political ads.

Residents in Sullivan County have reported receiving these ads, which support Angie Stanley in her bid for county mayor while criticizing her opponent, Zane Vanover, in the Republican primary. The ads claim to be funded by Tennessee Stands or its Political Action Committee (PAC).
