GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () — The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) detained a 16-year-old male for allegedly entering vehicles and stealing a pistol.
At approximately 12:13 a.m. on Thursday, GCPD responded to Ogden Drive after receiving a 911 call from a homeowner who reported that someone was seen on a camera entering a vehicle.
A young male wearing a face covering and latex gloves was located by police. Officers searched the suspect and found a .24 caliber pistol, which was later confirmed to have been stolen from a different vehicle, along with a screwdriver and flashlight.
Video evidence provided by the homeowner confirmed that the juvenile had entered their vehicle previously. Police contacted the juvenile’s parents and attempted an interview.
This is an ongoing investigation. Detectives are working to identify additional victims and link recovered property to reported cases.
