Washington County, Tennessee man facing child sex crime charges

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Washington County, Tennessee man was arrested and charged with various child sex crimes, including child rape and sexual expoltion of a minor, on May 14.

The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that Brian Anthony Privette, 39, was arrested on a presentment warrant.

Privette was charged with the following:

  • Rape of a child (three counts)
  • Aggravated sexual battery
  • Especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
  • Sexual exploitation of a minor (two counts)
  • Rape

Court documents obtained by News Channel 11 report that the presentment was filed on May 5, and that Privette committed the crimes between June 2018 and October 2024.

As of Thursday, Privette is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
