KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Aggies poured on the runs in a pair of victories over top-ranked Tennessee on Saturday.

A Dalton Bargo homer put the Vols on the right path in Game 1 – leading 1-0 in the first inning. However, it was the visitors that used the long ball to earn a 9-3 victory.

Texas A&M hit four home runs, including two from Caden Sorrell, as the visitors blasted eleven hits.

In Game 2, it was more of the same. The Aggies added seven more homers to the weekend total, as they ended the contest in eight innings, 17-6. Wyatt Henseler and Ben Royo each hit two out of the park and combined for seven RBI.

The Vols got a three-run shot from Hunter Ensley to fend off the run-rule in the seventh inning. But, three tallies from A&M in the eighth wrapped things up.

Tennessee (28-4, 9-3 SEC) returns to action on Tuesday against Alabama State. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
