WAYNESBORO, Ga. ()- Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, this cook-off is a fierce competition to see who the best Pitmaster is.

Each team knows what to do cook the best BBQ and win over the judges.

The total purse is 11-thousand dollars.

The Grand Champion wins two thousand of those dollars.

And it’s not just about the food – there will be live music as well.

“Every year we have a headliner for Friday night. And this year Will Mosley, who is the runner up on American Idol last year from south Georgia. So he’s making his way up to Wayne’s burns are excited to have him. And then, as always, just free rides for the kids. Free wings,” said co chair of the Boss Hog Cook-Off, Nan Lynch.

Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the gate.

We will be broadcasting live from the event starting at 4pm.
