SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Chatham County jury trial for the 2023 double murder of 16-year-old Semaj Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield has been delayed a month.

spoke with Floyd’s aunt, Tiffany Reed, who sent us the following statement:

“The families are ready for it to be over.”

Jury selection was slated to begin today as Harold Roberson, 21, Vaquez Coleman, 20, and Joshua Reddick, 24, are facing several charges for the murders of Floyd and Whitfield who were shot on the corner of Amaranth and Perth St. on Dec. 4, 2023.

Vaquez Coleman, 20

Court officials cited a change in counsel for at least of the one the defendants as a reason for the delay.

Harold Roberson has already received a life sentence with the possibility of parole on Sept. 10 after a Chatham County jury convicted him of Travis Edwards’ murder in the Bricktowne Flats apartments in May 2021.

As Roberson’s co-defendant in the Edwards trial, Vaquez Coleman was acquitted of all murder charges. He faces five years in prison after being convicted of criminal attempt to commit a felony on the predicate of marijuana.

Roberson and Coleman were out on bond awaiting trial for Travis Edwards shooting death when they were identified as suspects in the 2023 double murder.

Joshua Reddick was arrested April 14 and indicted with Coleman and Roberson in May 2025.

Joshua Reddick, 24

The three defendants face charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

Court records show the jury trial is slated to begin Nov. 3, with a pre-trial hearing Oct. 27.
