WRENS, Ga. () – A 3rd suspect was taken into custody in connection with the July 5, 2024, shooting death of 16-year-old Sadiq Brown of Wrens, GA.
On the morning of May 29th, members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Task Force apprehended 18-year-old Kieran Darnell Walters in Gwinnett County.
Walters was wanted for murder in connection with the shooting, which occurred in the parking lot of 2622 Peach Orchard Road.
Deondray Donovan was arrested January 23rd, 2025 and Malcolm Bryant was arrested in August 20th, 2024, both charged with Murder and Possession of Firearm or Knife During Crime.


The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to a local hospital at approximately 10:55 p.m. on July 5, 2024, regarding a male subject who had been transported by vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. The victim, later identified as Sadiq Brown, was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. at Piedmont Hospital.
Sheriff Brantley praised the dedication and teamwork involved in this case, “The arrest of both suspects in this tragic case demonstrates our commitment to pursuing justice for victims and their families. I am proud of our investigators and grateful to the U.S. Marshals Service for their partnership in locating and arresting dangerous fugitives.”
