JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — After months of dedicated preparation throughout the fall, Girls on the Run has successfully completed another 5K race, a key fundraising event for the organization.
Angela Huffine, the Council Director for Girls on the Run, shared that this event drew in over 1,000 runners. She emphasized that the 5K represents the culmination of goals set at the start of the season.
“Throughout the fall, these girls have been working diligently towards the goal of completing a 5K,” Huffine remarked. “Today is a celebration of their journey, their goal-setting, and their achievements. It’s a joyous day for everyone involved.”
