WCSO: Trio arrested for trafficking fentanyl on Interstate 26

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — A man and two women were charged on Wednesday after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of several drug violations, according to a release from the Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

WCSO deputies with the Sheriff’s Strike Team deployed K9 Murphy to perform an open-air sniff after a traffic stop on Interstate 26 on Tuesday. K9 Murphy alerted on the vehicle containing the following, according to Sheriff Keith Sexton:

  • 3.6 grams of crack cocaine
  • 8 grams of fentanyl
  • 35 grams of methamphetamine
  • $706 in cash
  • approximately 100 baggies
  • a scale commonly used for selling narcotics

Nicolas James Plemmons, 25, of Wellford, SC, was charged with two counts of Schedule II Drug Violations, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Identity Theft and Slow Poke Law.

Stacy Marie Plemmons, 49, of Candler, NC, was charged with Manufacture/Delivery/Sell/Possession of Methamphetamine, two counts of Schedule II Drug Violations and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.

Autumn Dixon, 25, of Marion, VA, was charged with two counts of Schedule II Drug Violations and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.

The release said Nicholas Plemmons was driving the vehicle that was stopped. Nicholas reportedly gave his brother’s name to deputies for identification. He allegedly had multiple baggies protruding from his front pants pocket containing marijuana and fentanyl.

The trio was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Nicholas Plemmons and Stacy Plemmons bond was set at $31,000, while Dixon’s bond was set at $21,000. All three appeared in court on Wednesday.
