BAMBERG COUNTY, S.C. () – Three 17-year-olds have been charged following an Attempted Murder in Bamberg County, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
Michael Leon Kearse, Jr., 17, was charged with five counts of Attempted Murder, two counts of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle, and two counts of Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
Tavion Ramontre James, 17, was charged with five counts of Attempted Murder and two counts of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle.
According to arrest warrants, Kearse, Jr. and James are accused of shooting into an occupied vehicle at the McDonald’s 18128 Heritage Highway in Denmark, S.C. on Dec. 6, 2024.
Cedric Jaiden Walker, 17, was charged with Accessory After the Fact to Attempted Murder.
Kearse, Jr., James, and Walker were booked into the Bamberg County Detention Center after being charged on March 12.
The case is expected to be prosecuted by the 2nd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
