Tri-Cities, TN — The two best soccer teams in the area met on the pitch when Dobyns-Bennett hosted Science Hill, and unlike the last time they played, when it was 1-0, the Lady Toppers blew the game open in the 2nd half, pulling away to win 5-1.
Sullivan East Soccer topped Volunteer tonight 1-0. Anna Nagle scored the lone goal for the Patriots, and Sara Doss secured the clean sheet. The Patriots host Elizabethton in District action on Tuesday.
On the volleyball court, the Lady Toppers were in Bristol and facing the talented Tennessee High Vikings, and Science Hill would hang on for the 25-15, 25-19, 25-16. Addy Gentry had 13 digs, including the 1,000th of her career. Zoey Phillips had 6 kills, and Ashton Blair had 5. Bree Adams had 11 assists. THS (17-7, 7-3) will host the Stateline Slam tournament on Saturday before closing the regular season hosting Sullivan East on Monday for Senior Night.
In Bluff City the Sullivan East Lady Patriot Volleyball team defeated Johnson Co on Thursday in District Action 19-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-12.
