TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Following a recent crackdown on drug trafficking in Titusville, the local police department has taken possession of a Jeep Wrangler, which now serves a new purpose.
Authorities stated in an announcement that the vehicle was apprehended during the investigation and subsequently transferred to the department’s ownership.
“The Titusville Police Department would like to extend a rather ironic thanks to a methamphetamine trafficker in our area,” the statement humorously noted. “Due to their decision to distribute drugs here, we’ve acquired a new asset for our fleet: a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4X4.”

The department plans to utilize the vehicle at various community events, neighborhood gatherings, recruitment drives, and other public safety initiatives across the city, enhancing their engagement with residents.
“So while it may have started its life with the wrong purpose, it’s now been repurposed to support positive community engagement,” the release continues.
However, police also warned other prospective dealers that selling drugs may result in both prison time and losing a vehicle.
No additional information was provided, including the identity of the Jeep’s original owner.
