Good morning from Savannah, Georgia. This is Alysa Carsley from StormTeam 3, bringing you the latest weather update and hoping you’re ready for an exciting Wednesday!
Today, those of us residing inland need to remain vigilant as we face a critical wildfire danger. The combination of a brisk northeast wind and severe drought conditions heightens this risk, so take extra caution if you’re heading outdoors.

On a brighter note, we’re treated to more sunshine today compared to earlier in the week. Despite the sunnier skies, temperatures will linger below the seasonal norm, hovering in the upper 60s to low 70s. Be prepared for some wind, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, expect similar conditions, though the wildfire risk should ease slightly as dewpoints rise. This indicates a touch more moisture in the air compared to today’s dry spell. Winds will still be breezy, gusting up to 25 mph, but temperatures will edge closer to average, settling in the low to mid 70s.
As we approach the weekend, the wind will continue to ease. Friday promises to be a quintessentially sunny day, with temperatures climbing to the mid to upper 70s. The weekend looks even more inviting, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures anticipated in the lower 80s.
