Multiple tornadoes confirmed in Central Illinois following Sunday’s severe weather

ILLINOIS (WCIA) — On Sunday, Central Illinois experienced a total of seven tornadoes, with Iroquois County alone encountering four of these powerful storms.

Scott Anderson, the Emergency Management Agency Coordinator for Iroquois County, reported on Monday that both local EMA teams and the US National Weather Service coordinated efforts to assess the destruction left behind by the quartet of tornado warnings that had been issued in the area.
