(NewsNation) — Toyota has recalled 591,000 vehicles in the United States due to a glitch with the infotainment system.

The recall, issued Friday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, covers certain Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma and Highlander models, as well as certain Lexus LS, RX and TX models.

According to Toyota, the 12.3-inch display screen may fail to turn on when drivers start their vehicles or could unexpectedly shut down while driving. Customers with affected vehicles will be notified by mid-November, the company said.

Owners can bring their vehicles to a dealer for a software update or replacement.

Toyota also recalled 95,000 electric vehicles, involving certain 2023-25 Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ and Subaru Solterras models, according to Electrek, due to a faulty defroster that could compromise visibility and safety.

The recall includes nearly 41,500 bZ4X, 32,320 Solterra and 20,501 Lexus RZ units, all built on the same platform. Those models will be produced up to mid-June.

To check if your vehicle is involved in a recall, visit Toyota.com/recall or NHTSA.gov/recalls and enter your vehicle identification number or license plate information. Customers can also contact Toyota’s customer support hotline at 1-800-331-4331.
