PALM COAST, Fla. – In a tragic incident on Monday, an 80-year-old woman from Palm Coast lost her life when her vehicle veered off the road, colliding with two signs and multiple trees in Flagler County. This information was confirmed by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The unfortunate accident took place at approximately 3 p.m. on Belle Terre Boulevard, situated north of State Road 100.
According to the FHP, the elderly woman was heading south in her car when she suddenly left the roadway, inadvertently crossing into the path of oncoming northbound traffic.
Her vehicle then struck a sign located in the median, another sign on the northbound shoulder, and subsequently crashed into several trees, as detailed by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, an FHP crash report stated.
Troopers said a northbound van driven by a 35-year-old Palm Coast woman “impacted a ditch” after the car cut her off. The van driver suffered minor injuries, the FHP said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the crash report said.
