UPDATE, January 19, 7:43 am – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking another individual for questioning in connection with a homicide that took place in Augusta.

The individual shown in the image above is being sought for questioning related to the fatal shooting of Jawaun Scruggs on January 15th at 619 East Boundary.

Investigators are also attempting to locate 34-year-old Joshua Anderson for questioning regarding the incident. Anderson is known to frequent areas around East Boundary.

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office responded to the 600 block of East Boundary around 7:45 Thursday evening for a shooting death.

38-year-old Jawaun Scruggs from Augusta, was shot at least one time and pronounced dead on the scene at 8:37 pm.

Authorities want to question 34-year-old Joshua Anderson about the incident. He is known to frequent the East Boundary area.
