BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon when a motorcyclist lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County. The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed the details of this unfortunate event.
The accident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. near mile marker 228 on I-95. The motorcyclist, who was riding a Yamaha FJR1300, was heading southbound, positioned in the inside lane just south of Deering Parkway.
According to the crash report, witnesses observed the motorcycle traveling at speeds exceeding the posted limit. The rider failed to navigate a curve successfully, which ultimately led to the fatal crash.

Witnesses reported the motorcyclist was traveling above the posted speed limit and failed to negotiate a curve.
Troopers said as a result, the motorcycle ran off of the roadway left and struck the guardrail.
According to the report, the impact cause the motorcycle driver to be thrown from the bike.
Troopers said the motorcyclist, identified as a 52-year-old Winter Springs man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
