MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A tragic accident on Friday resulted in the death of a 44-year-old man from Palatka after he was thrown from his Jeep when it flipped on State Road 19 in Marion County, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m., just south of County Road 314.

The authorities stated that the individual was driving a yellow Jeep Wrangler southbound when it veered off the road and overturned. The driver was ejected from the Jeep and subsequently pronounced dead at Ocala Regional Medical Center.

The crash report indicated that the man was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.

Additional details, including the identity of the deceased, have not been disclosed.

No other information was released, including the man’s name.
