NEW YORK (AP) — Tragic news from New York: Kianna Underwood, once a beloved child star on Nickelodeon, tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident on Friday. She was just 33 years old.
The New York Police Department reports that Underwood was in the process of crossing a street in Brooklyn’s Brownsville area when a black Ford Explorer SUV struck her in the morning hours.
After being hit, she was tragically hit again by a black and gray sedan, as stated by NYPD. Emergency responders pronounced Underwood dead at the scene.
Authorities have yet to identify the drivers of the vehicles involved as both fled the scene. The investigation is still active and ongoing.

Underwood was a familiar face to many, having appeared in seven episodes of Nickelodeon’s hit children’s sketch comedy “All That” in 2005. She also lent her voice to the character Fuschia Glover on Nick Jr.’s “Little Bill” from 1999 to 2004.
She also spent a year on the first national tour of “Hairspray” as Little Inez.
“All That” was Underwood’s last credited role. The program helped launch multiple careers over its decade-long run, ranging from Nick Cannon, Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes.
