One dead, Fire Chief injured after Milford house fire

A devastating house fire in Milford, Illinois, last week has tragically claimed the life of one individual, prompting both local and state authorities to launch an investigation.

According to Frank Hines, Chief of the Milford Fire Protection District, firefighters were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of North Grant and East Frederick Streets at approximately 10 p.m. on October 16. Upon arrival, they encountered a residence swallowed by flames.
