ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 31-year-old man has been charged with homicide after allegedly shooting another man in a woman’s apartment on Thanksgiving Day.

According to a report from Orange County authorities, Jon Fuller is accused of fatally shooting a man in the face during an altercation at an apartment located on Summit Centre Way in Maitland.

The Maitland Police Department reported that officers arrived at the scene around 12:12 p.m., discovering the victim deceased in a back bedroom. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the face, and a spent shell casing was found nearby.

A witness, who identified herself as Fuller’s girlfriend, informed investigators that she had been in a relationship with Fuller for approximately 18 months and is currently nine months pregnant with his child. She explained that Fuller had suspected her of infidelity and arrived at her apartment unannounced, despite being asked not to come.

The woman recounted that Fuller entered the apartment while she was braiding the victim’s hair. Although the victim offered to leave, Fuller allegedly drew a firearm and shot him without provocation.

Police said Fuller then left the apartment, spoke briefly with the woman outside, and then drove away, saying he was “going to drive back home.”

The affidavit does not state when or where Fuller was arrested.

Officials said Fuller faces a charge of second-degree murder.
