DUBAI – A significant incident unfolded at the Dubai Air Show on Friday when a plane crashed during a scheduled demonstration.

The aircraft involved was an Indian HAL Tejas, which went down at approximately 2:10 p.m. local time while executing a demonstration flight in front of attendees.

As of now, there is no confirmation on whether the pilot managed to eject before the crash.

Black smoke rose over the airport as those in the crowd, including women and children, watched.
