JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — On April 4, the Calvary Church warmly welcomed residents from the Tri-Cities area to their second annual Easter service at Freedom Hall.
Hundreds of attendees gathered eagerly around the venue for the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services. Reflecting on the previous year’s turnout of approximately 6,000 worshippers, church officials anticipated an even larger crowd this year.
In a conversation with News Channel 11, Nathan Livingston, the Operations Pastor at Calvary Church, shared insights into the day’s message for the congregation.
“When you truly embrace what Christ has done for you and make it personal, it transforms everything,” Livingston expressed. “That’s the message we hope resonates with everyone today.”
Livingston also highlighted that Calvary Church is celebrating its 41st anniversary. He expressed gratitude for their collaboration with Freedom Hall, which allows such large gatherings to come together in worship.
