HOMER, Ill. (WCIA) — A tractor blaze on Saturday prompted a response from three fire departments near the border of Champaign and Vermillion County. The tractor was towing two tanks of anhydrous ammonia.
According to a Facebook update posted at 12:26 p.m. by the Homer Fire Protection District, their team was responding to reports of a tractor on fire just beyond the county line in Vermilion County. Upon reaching the scene, they encountered a tractor fully engulfed in flames, with an implement and two attached anhydrous tanks.
