In a recent post on Truth Social, President Trump asserted that the United States has outperformed Iran “militarily, economically, and in all other respects.” He urged nations relying on oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure the passage’s security.

“Countries receiving oil via the Hormuz Strait must safeguard this route, and we will provide significant assistance!” Trump stated on the platform.

He added, “The U.S. will work closely with these nations to ensure operations are swift, smooth, and effective. This should have been a collective effort all along, but now it will unite the world for Harmony, Security, and Everlasting Peace!”

The Hill has contacted the White House for a response regarding Trump’s post.

Trump’s assertion of U.S. supremacy over Iran follows a previous statement he made on Friday, declaring Iran “totally defeated” and expressing that Iran is seeking a deal in another Truth Social post.

The president told reporters on Friday he has his “own idea” of how long the U.S. operation in the Middle Eastern country would ultimately last.

“I mean, I have my own idea. But what good does it do?” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews when asked about the duration of the war. “It’ll be as long as it’s necessary.”

On Friday, Trump launched what he referred to as  “one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.”

The bombardment took place after Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said last week that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as long as the conflict continues, triggering further fears of economic upheaval.

On Saturday, Trump announced that numerous countries will send ships to the Strait of Hormuz amid its closure.

“Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are.”
