President Trump recently took a shopping trip to Lake Worth, Florida, where he selected marble and onyx for a new White House ballroom. This excursion took place at Arc Stone & Tile, located just a short drive from his Mar-a-Lago estate.
A White House official confirmed that Trump is personally financing the purchase of these luxurious materials for the ballroom project, underscoring his direct involvement in the ongoing renovations of the presidential residence.
Over the past year, Trump has initiated a series of significant renovations to the White House. These updates include an ornate redesign of the Rose Garden and Palm Room and the addition of gold accents throughout the premises, particularly in the Oval Office. The construction of the new ballroom, which is projected to cost up to $400 million, marks another ambitious part of these renovations.
Beyond the White House, Trump has also directed changes at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He replaced board members with his allies, who subsequently appointed him as chair of the board. This move led to the center being renamed “The Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.”
Additionally, the president has led an overhaul of the Kennedy Center in Washington, replacing board members with allies who named the president chair of the board and then voted to rename the center “The Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.”
Last month, Trump teased an additional change to the performing arts center, posting photos of marble arm rests he said could be installed at the center.
“Unlike anything ever done or seen before!” he wrote in a Truth Social post.
