Trump Removes AI-Generated Image Depicting Him as Jesus from Truth Social Post

An AI-generated image shared by former President Trump on his Truth Social platform, which depicted him as Jesus Christ, seems to have been deleted from his profile.

As of Monday afternoon, the link that originally displayed the image on Sunday during Orthodox Easter now states, “This resource could not be found.”

The Hill has reached out to the former President’s team for a statement regarding the situation.

The artwork, which illustrated Trump as Jesus Christ performing miracles, faced criticism from some conservative supporters.

In the image, Trump is shown in religious attire, placing his hand on a sick man’s head, surrounded by symbolic elements like the American flag, eagles, the Statue of Liberty, and celestial figures.

The now-deleted Truth Social post came shortly after Trump posted a lengthy and extremely rare admonishing of Pope Leo XIV, who has expressed opposition to the Iran war without specifically naming Trump.

In the hours before the post was taken down Monday morning, a number of some of Trump’s most vocal allies from the conservative Christian community called on him to remove the post.

“Why? Seriously, I cannot understand why he’d post this. Is he looking for a response? Does he actually think this?” conservative political activist Riley Gaines wrote on the social platform X early Monday.

“Either way, two things are true,” she wrote. “1) a little humility would serve him well 2) God shall not be mocked.”

Conservative political commentator Michael Knowles weighed in by saying, “I assume someone has already told him, but it behooves the President both spiritually and politically to delete the picture, no matter the intent.”

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) wrote on X that she was “praying against” the post.

“On Orthodox Easter, President Trump attacked the Pope because the Pope is rightly against Trump’s war in Iran and then he posted this picture of himself as if he is replacing Jesus,” she wrote. “This comes after last week’s post of his evil tirade on Easter and then threatening to kill an entire civilization. I completely denounce this and I’m praying against it!!!”
