TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — President Donald Trump is set to join two telephone town halls this evening with Republican candidates for Florida’s special elections.
Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis posted on X this morning announcing that Trump would be joining him in a “tele-town hall.”
“Hear from the President on why the election for CD-1 is so important to not only families in the Panhandle BUT the entire nation!” Patronis wrote on X.
Patronis is aiming to replace former Rep. Matt Gaetz as the representative for Florida’s 1st Congressional District.
You can join the town hall by calling into 833-305-1698 at 5 p.m. CST.
Trump will also join Florida state Sen. Randy Fine (R-19) for a telephone town hall.
“This is your chance to hear directly from me and President Trump what is at stake this election and why we NEED YOUR VOTE on April 1st!” Fine said on X.
Sen. Fine is hoping to replace former Rep. Mike Waltz, who resigned his position to join the Trump administration as a national security advisor.
You can join Fine’s town hall by calling into 833-380-0653 at 6:30 p.m. EST.
Both candidates are in districts Trump won comfortably, but the Democrat candidates for the 1st and 6th districts have out-funded them by large margins.
Patronis and Fine received some last-minute funding earlier this week from Elon Musk’s super PAC.
According a Tuesday report filed with the Federal Election Commission, America PAC is spending over $20,000 on texting services to help boost the GOP candidates.
The special election will take place next Tuesday, April 1.
