(NewsNation) — With HBO Max removing cartoon shows from its massive streaming library, Tubi is stepping up to the plate.
In a post on X, the streaming service announced its acquisition of the hundreds of cartoons coming to the platform, saying, “My cartoon era starts March 1.”
Most of the lineup includes older Cartoon Network shows, but Warner Bros. cartoons such as “Animaniacs” will also be added.
The release will be gradual, with the following shows coming to Tubi first:
- Animaniacs
- Powerpuff Girls
- Teen Titans
- The Batman
- Ben 10 (2005)
- Pinky and the Brain
- Justice League
- Batman: The Brave and the Bold
- Dexter’s Laboratory
- Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy
- Courage The Cowardly Dog
- Taz-Mania
- Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends
- Codename: Kids Next Door
- The Mask (Animated)
- Yogi’s Gang
The move comes after Cartoon Network’s license agreement ended with HBO Max, resulting in the purge of nearly all the cartoons available to watch on the platform, Deadline reported.
After Tubi acquired Looney Tunes, its head of acquisitions called it a “huge win for us” after it became the platform’s best-performing series.
