TUSCOLA, Ill. — Logan Kurtz, a standout player for the Warriors with over 1,200 career points to his name, is gearing up to take his basketball prowess to the collegiate level.
Kurtz has officially committed to join the Eastern Illinois University (EIU) basketball team next season, marking a significant milestone in his athletic journey.
This past season, Kurtz played a pivotal role in leading Tuscola High School to an impressive 28-7 record, culminating in a spot in the sectional semifinals.
Throughout his childhood, Kurtz drew inspiration from Jalen Quinn, a former Warrior standout, which instilled in him a relentless work ethic that he plans to carry forward as he transitions to college basketball as an undersized guard.
He’ll lean on that mindset in college as an undersized guard.
“I can control that I’m 6’1,” Kurtz said. “I can’t control that I might be guarding a 6’6″, 215 pounder our next game.” “To me, that doesn’t matter.” “No one’s going to out-work me, no one’s going to show up like I do day in and day out, and that’s what really matters.”
Kurtz is now eligible for $1,500 cash prize we’ll give away to one boy and one girl at the end of the school year.
